Dear colleagues and friends,
It is my great pleasure to invite you, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, to the Spine Expert Group meeting, which will be held in ASA Institute, Sarajevo on November 29th i 30th, 2024.
The Spine Expert Group is made up of enthusiasts from the Southeast European region who have been organizing and meeting for years to exchange their good and bad experiences in the field of spinal surgery in a friendly atmosphere, all with the goal of gaining the necessary knowledge and improving the service provided to our patients.
This year, we as the Organizing Committee have the honor of hosting the congress for the first time in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Sarajevo. What more can be said about this city with such a tumultuous history, that hasn’t already been said? A city that exudes a unique charm and offers something for every passerby and visitor, with a variety of experiences characteristic of this diverse place.
The previous two congresses, held in Zagreb and Ljubljana, were extremely successful, and we hope you will carry similar experiences from this meeting. Unlike the previous ones, this congress will be held a month earlier in hopes that the weather conditions will provide a more pleasant atmosphere, particularly for the social activities.
The congress itself will take place in the newly opened ASA Hospital, the first private general hospital in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the participation of invited speakers from several neighboring countries and Turkey.
Therefore, we invite you to join us on November 29th and 30th, 2024, at the meeting in Sarajevo.

About Us
ASA Hospital
The hospital covers an area of 36,000 m2, has 180 hospital beds on seven floors, 10 operating rooms, 15 specialist departments and a total of 267 employees in the early stages of development.
The clinical manager of the hospital is the International Medical University of Vienna (Medical University Vienna International), whose renowned medical experts are permanent members of the clinical team of the ASA Hospital, and whose engagement ensures the highest standards of health care and quality and safety management according to international standards.
The establishment of the hospital stems from the long-term strategy of diversification and business development of the ASA Group (ASA Group) in the field of healthcare and the establishment of the healthcare group ASA Medical, which, in addition to the newly founded hospital, also manages the established chain of EuroFarm consultative specialist clinics and laboratories, which are established in 13 locations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The establishment of the ASA Hospital is an expression of the desire to improve the quality of life of BiH citizens through the establishment of a high quality and safe health service.

To communicate with local and international R&D organizations.
To organize and participate in national and international conferences, seminars, meetings, workshops, etc. Throughout the organized events, the latest research, case study results and current scientific activities will be presented. That will provide for stimulating research and dissemination of results, for creation of a genuine network of communication and exchange between scientists, researchers, physicians and different stakeholders of providers and sponsors in the outlined sectors.

Accommodation for symposium participants is available at Mövenpick Hotel Sarajevo, modern hotel conveniently located near major roads.
Participants can choose between single and double rooms, all offering comfort and premium amenities to ensure a pleasant stay. Parking is charged separately, and the number of spaces is limited.

Sarajevo International Airport (SJJ) serves as the main gateway to Bosnia and Herzegovina, offering direct flights from key cities across the Balkans, Europe, and world. Major airlines provide regular connections from cities such as Istanbul, Vienna, Frankfurt, Belgrade and Zagreb, making your journey quick and hassle-free.

For travelers coming from neighboring Balkan countries, driving is a great option. The road network connects Bosnia and Herzegovina with Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro, offering scenic routes through beautiful landscapes. The country’s borders are equipped with efficient customs services, ensuring a smooth journey.

Long-distance buses are another reliable option, connecting major cities in the Balkans with Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bus lines from Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, and other European countries frequently serve Sarajevo, Mostar, and other key destinations.
